Bits n' Blood privacy
The game plays without sending anything anywhere. Opening Watch episodes asks the server for the
board, and watching a run asks for its tape; those are plain requests, and nothing is kept from them.
Nothing of yours leaves your device unless you press Post on the results of a daily episode.
What a post sends
- A name the game made up. You pick it by rerolling. You cannot type one, so it
says nothing about you.
- Your score and your tape. A tape is your button presses for that run, so the
server can check the score and others can watch it. It holds nothing else about you.
- A random key your device made. It lets you delete your own post. The server
keeps only a one-way hash of it.
How long it stays
- A tape is deleted after 7 days.
- The rest of a post is deleted after 30 days.
- To stop a flood of posts, the server counts them by a salted hash of your network address. It
never stores the address, and no post is linked to it. Each count is deleted within two days.
- If a post is removed for cheating, a note of what was removed is kept for
90 days. A block on a device or a name stays until it is lifted.
Your choices
Posting is always your press, every time. To remove a post of yours, use Delete on the game's
Watch episodes page, or write to privacy@ummgames.com and give the post's name and day.
There are no accounts, no ads and no trackers in the board.
